Pagani Zonda S Roadster Runs into Some Trouble in Monaco

Supercars / Comments

Getting pulled over by a cop on a crowded street while cruising in your 220mph Italian supercar is quite an embarrassing thing.

A Pagani owner was cruising around Monaco this past week during the Top Marques show and decided to gun it into a tunnel. Little did he know a certain policeman would be waiting on foot to pull him over at the other end.

Only Alonso, Vettel, Hamilton et al are allowed to rev their engines in the famous tunnel, which is why a polite Monegasque gendarme, who heard the noise but couldn't measure the speed, stopped the red car and presented a ticket for unnecessary acceleration leading to the tunnel. We also think this is the same Zonda owner who picked up a couple of ladies to go for a little joy ride only a day or so after being cited. The driver was then given the green light and he proceeded to his original destination. On a side note, the policeman also pulled over a Lamborghini Aventador and a Hamann Hawk, according to the videographer.

And at minute 1:10, you can see a 1929 Bugatti Type 40A Gran Sport pass by. Truly amazing stuff from Monaco. If you ever get the chance to visit, you surely won't be disappointed.
