The future of the Peterson Automotive Museum is secure after the Southern California museum received an approximately $100 million gift this last week. The donor is Margie Petersen, wife of the late Robert E. Petersen, the museum's founder. Mrs. Petersen said that her donation will provide the museum with the necessary resources to continue to enhance its collections, curatorial expertise and exhibitions for future generations.

The Petersen Museum opened in 1994 in Los Angeles. Its collection of cars originally consisted of cars that Mr. Petersen collected over decades, but the museum has continued to acquire more cars over the years. The museum also frequently changes exhibitions to keep things fresh and lively for the visiting crowds. Next time you're in LA check out the Petersen Automotive Museum.
