The Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles California is one of the holy grails of the automotive world, home to an assortment of gems ranging from the humble Mazda MX-5 to stunningly rare Chevrolet Corvette prototype cars. Due to the outbreak of Covid-19, the Petersen Museum has been unable to throw its car week in person, so it has gone fully digital.

To keep visitors informed, the museum has released a schedule stipulating which cars and shows will feature on each specific day. The Petersen Car Week will run from August 12-16. Viewers can tune in daily to watch all sorts of entertaining segments ranging from manufacturer content all the way to auction house events.

Highlights for Wednesday, August 12, include McCall's Motorworks Revival with a special live auction hosted by Bring a Trailer. The day will also play host to a BMW debut, and The Torque Show and Top Gear will release some never before seen video footage.

On Thursday, August 13, Gordon Murray Design will unveil its T.50 supercar, and viewers will also be treated to private garage tours and a discussion around the Corvette C8 with Tadge Juechte.

Friday, August 14, will be the day that viewers will get to enjoy three virtual car shows hosted by Legends of the Autobahn, Porsche Club of America, and Quail, A Motorsports Gathering. Wrapping up the day will be a walkaround of the Koenigsegg Gemera, and 2021 BMW M8.

On Saturday, August 15, the Sonoma Speed Festival will debut POV track footage from its 2019 event, and the folks over at Laguna Seca will premiere "A Lap Through the Ages,"

Wrapping up the event on Sunday, August 16, will be a virtual Petersen Concours d'Elegance, featuring classes such as American Classics, European Classic, Postwar Preservation, and Hot Rod.

"As Petersen Car Week Presented by Michelin draws nearer, we would like to thank our partners for helping us capture the essence of Monterey Car Week virtually," said Petersen Executive Director Terry L. Karges. "Although we'd much rather be gathered together, the week will deliver all of the passion and allure of the August events we know and love." Viewers can tune in daily to watch original content on the Petersen's YouTube channel.
