The successful launch of the Peugeot 508 RXH has prompted the French automaker to take their latest hybrid to Australia.
Three days is all it took for the Peugeot 508 RXH to sell out in Europe. 300 units flew off the shelves er... showroom floors in record time. This success has prompted Peugeot Australia to put in their bid to receive the hybrid wagon and could actually get them by the third quarter of 2012. The front-wheel-drive wagon is the second offering from the French automaker that is equipped with the diesel-electric system.
"With the introduction of the micro-hybrid at the end of October Peugeot is continuing its diesel evolution, taking the company and our customers another step closer to achieving that fine balance between personal mobility and environmental responsibility," said Richard Grant, National Marketing Manager of Peugeot Australia. No pricing information has been released yet for the Peugeot 508 RXH, however we expect more details to be released as the car heads towards its debut down under in late 2012.
