Peugeot has announced that to celebrate the launch of the all-new 208, they will be offering 650 Ice Velvet models in 18 European countries. Based on a three-door variant of the new hatch, 208 units of the 208 Ice Velvet are being allocated to France, with the remainder to be spread out between Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, Belgium, Spain, Estonia, Italy, Luxembourg, Holland, Poland, Czech Republic, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland and the UK.

It features an exclusive satin paint finish, which is complemented by chrome detail on the bodywork including the radiator grille, fog lamps, and panoramic glass roof. Dark chrome is used on the rear-view mirrors and bright chrome covers the exhaust pipe and window surrounds, while 17-inch Technical Grey alloys sit on the corners. On the inside the limited edition models benefit from Techno TEP trim with high quality stitching, a large touchscreen, sat-nav, directional static lights, front lights with LED signature, a/c, and blue guide lights for the roof and sports seats.

According to the country of its release, it will come with either a 1.6 VTi 120 gasoline engine mated to a manual five-speed gearbox or a 1.6 e-HDi 115 diesel engine paired to a manual six-speed, complete with a satin chrome gear knob. In France the Ice Velvet will be priced at a cool 23,500 Euros.
