Peugeot Reskins Exalt Concept for Paris

Bear-metal concept bows on home turf.

Given this is the Paris Motor Show, here’s our obligatory French offering from the event courtesy of Peugeot. In China, the Exalt's bodywork was made up of hand-beaten bare steel panels and a unique red “shark skin” textile. For Paris, Peugeot has opted for a gray back end, while the interior receives ‘Newspaper Wood’ trim made from recycled newspapers and features a digital instrument panel, folding touchscreens on the center console and toggle switches on the dash.

Motivation comes from a hybrid powertrain consisting of a 1.6-liter inline-four rated at 270 horses mated to a six-speed auto and a 70-hp electric motor powering the rear axle for a combined output of 340 hp.
