Following an earlier announcement and a batch of teaser shots, Peugeot has revealed photos and video of the car with which Sebastien Loeb and Red Bull will challenge the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb on June 30. Although the French automaker revealed little in the way of details to accompany these images, the 208 T16 Pikes Peak is based (if only in appearance) on the 208 hatchback, but uses a custom chassis to contest the top-tier Unlimited class at the famous Race to the Clouds.

The 208 T16 Pikes Peak follows in the footsteps of the 405 T16 that scored back-to-back wins at the race in 1988 and 1989. It features extreme aerodynamics, Michelin racing tires and carbon-fiber bodywork.
