There's a lot of buzz surrounding Pininfarina's 1,900-hp electric hypercar, the PF0. But we recently learned it's just one of many luxury EVs Pininfarina is planning to launch, including an SUV. According to Autocar India, the company will launch three electric SUVs, the most powerful of which will be a Lamborghini Urus fighter.

Development of the range-topping SUV, codenamed the PF1, has apparently already begun at the company's Mahindra-owned headquarters in Munich.

While the PF0 will use powertrain and battery technology supplied by Rimac, Autocar India has confirmed that Pininfarina will partner with the US-based electric vehicle maker Rivian, which recently showcased its Tesla-rivalling R1T pickup and R1S SUV at the LA Auto Show, to develop a skateboard platform for its all-electric SUV models.

Rivian's skateboard platform is designed to offer potent performance, long ranges, and off-road capability. The platform combines features such as Dynamic Roll Control and air suspension with a battery with maximized energy density. Both Rivian models will develop around 750 hp from four electric motors, deliver a range of up to 400 miles, and hit 0-62 mph in around three seconds.

It's not known if the PF1 SUV will have the same off-road capability as the Rivian SUV, but the model is expected to be blisteringly quick. It will reportedly be equipped with a 135Kwh battery pack (larger than the PF0's 120 Kwh) and will have an 800V system for fast charging. With over 200 hp at each wheel, the PF1 is rumored to weigh around 5,000-5,200 pounds and could produce up to 1,074 hp.
