With its sleek styling, high-tech interior, and impressive performance, the Polestar 2 is an attractive alternative to the more established Tesla Model 3 for those who want something less mainstream. Since the Swedish brand isn't very well known in America, there's a good chance the Polestar 2 has flown under your radar. To help increase the brand presence in the US, the Polestar 2 is being taken on a cross-country tour across America between August and December.

As part of Polestar's new "2 On Tour" test drive program running for over 125 days, the Polestar 2 will be shown at 33 locations in the US, where Polestar Specialists will be on hand to demonstrate the Polestar 2's performance and technology to potential customers.

The tour will start on August 13th in San Jose, California and end in Tampa, Florida, on December 19th. Test drives will also be available, allowing potential customers to experience the electric sedan's impressive performance, engaging driving dynamics, and Android-powered infotainment system.

"Navigating across 21 states, 2 on Tour will bring more awareness of the Polestar 2 in locations that have a new Polestar retail location, or one opening soon," said Gregor Hembrough, head of Polestar in North America. "With Polestar's retail footprint expanding to over 25 US markets by the end of this year, the time was right to get the product into the market where people can experience firsthand."

While Polestar only sells two models, the Swedish brand already has an established retail network in the US at locations including Austin, Washington, Detroit, Denver, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York, New Jersey, and Arizona.

For 2022, a new variant of the Polestar 2 is available with a single motor rated at 231 hp. Starting at $45,900, this is the most affordable version of the Polestar 2, while a 78-kWh battery provides an EPA-rated range of around 260 miles. Slotting above it is a new dual-motor variant, which has a range of 240 miles and 408 hp. Topping the range is the fully loaded Launch Edition, which costs $59,900.
