The Porsche 911 Carrera 4 is the all-wheel drive version of the standard 911 Carrera. Does this mean the car is ready for duty in the snow and ice? No, but what it does offer is increased grip on the road and track. For a $7,000 premium over the 911 Carrera, the Carrera 4 is quite literally the same car underneath. It has the same 3.8 liter flat-6 and an optional 3.8 liter which increases horsepower to 385 (this upgrade is also available in the regular 911 Carrera).

The main exterior difference between the two is that the rear-wheel archers are flared out slightly more and the spare tired was ditched in order to make space for the front-wheel drive system. With the addition of special badges, the cars look nearly identical.
