Could be revealed next month in LA.
We’ve read leaked reports, seen spy shots and videos, and learned that it lapped the Nurburgring in a staggering 7 minutes 20 seconds. All that’s really left is to see it fully unveiled, which judging by these images and video could be as early as next month’s LA Auto Show. Caught wearing Georgia plates, the 991-gen 911 GT3 RS can be seen wearing minimal camo as well as black body wraps. In one image, a hint of orange suggests this will probably be the car’s launch color while “GT3 RS” lettering is also on the headrests that sit afront a huge roll cage.
Weighing less than 1,400 kg, with all new body panels, several made from carbon-fiber reinforced polymer, a double-bubble roof, loads of aerodynamic add-ons, turbo-style rear wings, and the GT3’s 3.8-liter six-cylinder unit tweaked to around 500 horsepower, it will represent the pinnacle of all 991 derivatives on the market.
