Porsche 911 is Already Getting a Facelift

Spy Shots

Expect to see some styling changes at the very least.

It doesn’t seem all that long ago that Porsche unveiled its latest generation 911, the 991. Amazingly, that was back in 2012. In the auto industry that’s actually a decent amount of time. So in 2015 Porsche plans to roll out a facelifted 911, which has just been caught by our spy photographers testing on the open road. Based on what we can tell from this prototype covered in camo, there’s a slightly wider body as well as some additional air outlets in the rear bumper.

There’s also a new front bumper design hidden there, which will almost certainly have restyled air intakes and LEDs. The rear taillights are also set to change somewhat and by the looks of things it appears they’ll become slightly bigger. We’re willing to bet they’ll take on the new rear light look featured on the Macan. Porsche will also likely upgrade the flat-six powertrains to some extent. Expect for the facelifted Porsche 911 to launch in late 2014 as a 2015 model.
