The Porsche Cayenne remains a hot-seller for the German automaker, and in light of ever growing competition from Mercedes and BMW, regular updates are required. The current Cayenne went on sale in 2011, but in this industry that's a fairly long time ago. A facelift is now in order, and it will debut later this year as a 2015 model. Based on this latest crop of images from our spy photographers, the refreshed Cayenne will be adapting the Macan's 3D style taillights.

The front end will receive a somewhat slimmer look thanks to a new bumper and restyled headlights that draw on some Panamera inspiration as well. Sources are also indicating a Cayenne plug-in hybrid variant is also in the works. If so, it too will debut with the rest of the facelifted Cayenne lineup in the coming months.
