In celebration of its 50th anniversary, players will have the opportunity to enjoy the iconic GT1 Evolution and the blindingly rapid Taycan Turbo S.

Porsche has teamed up with Asphalt Racing by mobile gaming publisher Gameloft to celebrate its design department's 50th anniversary. For a limited time, gamers will be able to win two bespoke digital Porsche Design creations in the shape of the Porsche Taycan Turbo S and the iconic GT1 Evolution. These will be available to experience in both Asphalt 8: Airborne and Asphalt 9: Legends.

The two cars will be dressed in a livery penned by Porsche Design. The Taycan is currently available and will leave the game by November 27. The GT1 will be introduced on the 29th and depart on December 4. If you want to enter the race to win one of these cars, you need to register and take part in the required events.

Both Asphalt titles will feature timed events on a multitude of tracks. If you manage to beat these, you'll stand a chance to win real-life Porsche Design goodies such as the AOC AGON PRO PD27S gaming monitor and a pair of TWS Earphones PDT40. An Urban Eco Cycling Backpack is up for grabs, too. Allowing all players to enjoy the Porsche Design festivities, exclusive decals for other Porsche products will be available for other in-game models from the brand. They'll also be given a discount code that is redeemable in Porsche Design's online store.

Porsche Design's decision to partner with Asphalt to round off its 50th-anniversary celebrations makes sense, as it has had strong ties with the franchise since 2017, almost immediately after its exclusive license with Electronic Arts lapsed. You can currently find 15 different models across both titles.

Porsche Design has been marking the festivities by celebrating its five-decade-long success with numerous car-related designer products. As always, watches have been the primary focus, with the most recent piece celebrating the new 911 Dakar, but the restored 1972 Targa and its corresponding Chronograph I watch, which will soon go under the hammer, is without a doubt the star of its year-long festivities.

Porsche exploring real and digital worlds to pay tribute to its design department's success shows that it is a forward-looking brand that recognizes the power of the mobile gaming industry. Asphalt 9: Legends is a relatively old game, having been released back in 2018, but it still has a consistent player base that is sure to enjoy the efforts Porsche has put into these two special cars.
