The all-new 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo S made its world debut last month as the new range-topper of the 992-generation 911 family - at least until the new 911 GT3 arrives. Power is sourced by a 3.8-liter, twin-turbo flat-six engine producing 640 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque paired with an eight-speed, dual-clutch transmission.
This setup enables the new 911 Turbo S to accelerate from 0-62 mph in just 2.6 seconds and top out at 205 mph, making it the fastest and most powerful 911 Turbo yet. Pricing for the new 911 Turbo S starts at $203,500 - but that's before you start ticking all the optional extras in the configurator.
To demonstrate how the Porsche 911 Turbo can be extensively customized, Porsche Exclusive (the manufacturer's personalization division) has showcased an example fitted with exterior enhancements on social media.
Porsche Exclusive has configured the 911 Turbo's exterior in a striking Guards Red color, which is available with no extra cost. The customized 911 Turbo S also sits on 911 Turbo S Exclusive Design Wheels that feature five U-shaped spokes and measure 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the back. Fitting these fancy wheels will add an extra $2,490 onto the base price, but Porsche Exclusive has also finished them in high-gloss black paint, which costs an extra $1,290.
Inside, the interior trim has been customized to match the vibrant Guard Red exterior, which is a no-cost option. The color has also been applied to the Sport Chrono dial and tachometer - both of these options cost an extra $420 each.
Joining the options list in the future will be a new Lightweight package that sheds an extra 66 pounds off the 911 Turbo's weight by removing the rear seats and adding lighter front seats, lighter glass, and a lightweight exhaust system, while the Sport package adds a slew of cosmetic upgrades including a new taillight design, unique wheels, and black exterior trim. Pricing for both packages hasn't been announced yet, but it's already clear to see how easy it is to increase the base price of the 911 Turbo.
