If you're in the market for a roadster, the Porsche Boxster would be an excellent choice. But what if everyone in your neighborhood already drives one? Then you'll want a special edition. Fortunately for buyers in Holland, at least, Porsche has just announced just such a vehicle. Called the Red 7 edition, the special Boxster gets a unique red paint job with matte platinum accents for the front and rear hoods, side mirrors and 20" alloys. The interior is similarly decked out in black leather with red trim.

Based on the Boxster S, it's powered by a 3.4-liter flat-six with 315 horsepower, mated to the seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission and equipped with the Sport Chrono package that includes active engine mounts. It also comes with a Bose sound system, illuminated side sills, a unique car cover, leather key case and coffee table book, but the privilege of ownership will cost you dearly: to the tune of €119,935, including all taxes. That represents a substantial premium over the 77,800-euro base price of a Boxster S in the Netherlands, but with only seven examples to be made, Porsche should have little trouble selling them all.
