You've seen plenty of Chinese-built cars that look shockingly like, well, lots of other non-Chinese cars. The resemblances can be uncanny, and that's because many Chinese automakers literally copy others' designs. According to a report from Automotive News Europe, Porsche has apparently had enough of this crap. The German automaker is now considering legal action against Zotye Automobile because the Chinese brand's T700 looks an awful lot like the Macan.

So much so it literally appears to be a clone. This isn't the first time an automaker has sued a Chinese one; Jaguar Land Rover wanted to take legal action against Chinese carmaker Landwind because of its X7 that looked too much like the Range Rover Evoque. However, that bid failed because it's apparently insanely difficult to enforce copyright laws in China. Porsche's potential lawsuit may already be dead on arrival. So what are the differences between the Macan and the T700? The front grille and headlight designs, taillights and a few other minor cosmetic bits. Oh, and price: the T700 starts at around 24,000 euros in China while the Macan bases at nearly 80,000 euros.
