Rumors of a hi-po driver-focused variant of the Porsche Macan surfaced before the crossover debuted, and now a spy video has emerged of what appears to be the Macan GTS being pushed hard at the Nurburgring. Having applied the GTS moniker to the Boxster/Cayman earlier this year, it seems the Macan is next in line, soon to be joined by the 911. Positioned between the S and Turbo, the GTS will receive performance somewhere between 335 and 394 hp, giving it the chance to run from 0-62 mph in five seconds.

It will also come with a firmer suspension, uprated brakes housed in bigger alloys, and borrow the front bumper from the Turbo and the rear end from the Macan S. The roll cage in the prototype won't be carried over to production. Don't be surprised if Porsche unveils the Macan GTS at the Paris Motor Show in October.
