It might not be the biggest accomplishment of all time for an automotive manufacturer to win the title of Best Website, but with so much of the car shopping process taking place online these days, an informative and easily navigated website can make a big difference for a manufacturer. The J.D. Power Manufacturer Website Evaluation Study is based on responses from 10,196 car shoppers, and Porsche finished first with a score of 853.
Of course, that score of 853 was only slightly above the industry wide average of 823, so if you’re in the market for something other than a Porsche, you can still probably count on having a helpful website to guide your shopping. A big part of Porsche’s win comes from the high level of tablet support, since the number of shoppers using a tablet for car shopping has increased 145 percent since just last year.
