When it comes to executive sports sedans, few are as oddly styled or as capable as the Porsche Panamera. While the styling has gotten better over the years, performance has also been continuously improved too. Need proof? Check out this video of the new Panamera Turbo breaking the Nurburgring lap record for executive cars. Mercedes-AMG will be looking to outperform the Porker with its new GT73, but for now, there's no doubt who the king is.

So when can you get your hands on this piece of luxury German engineering? Well, Porsche has released the date of the Panamera's world premiere and you don't have long to wait.

In a video released on Porsche's press site, Stuttgart's most famous automaker has announced that the new Panamera will make its global debut on August 26 at 3:00 p.m. CEST. Porsche's CEO, Oliver Blume, will be a part of the presentation, along with racing driver Timo Berhard. We can expect Blume to discuss the luxury and technological advances of the new model, while Berhard will likely speak about the Panamera's handling prowess and power, with insights into the car's record-breaking run at the Ring.

Unfortunately, some of the excitement of the new model's release has been diminished by the fact that we've seen production-ready versions on the road already, but we look forward to seeing the car in greater detail.

Among these details will be 911-inspired styling elements, but we're sure there will be some other Easter eggs that will be revealed at the premiere. We expect some new paint finishes, new wheels, and new interior customization options will likely be made available too. Considering how well the past generations of the Panamera have turned out to be, we have no doubt that the new model will be something special in the segment and will once again bolster Porsche's title as the greatest sports car manufacturer in the world. Now, has anyone come across a plug for the winning lottery numbers?
