Porsche's Le Mans Return is Long Overdue

Video

After a 16 year absence, Porsche is back competing in the LMP1 racing category.

Although Porsche didn’t win last weekend at Le Mans, it was still great to see it (in the LMP1 category) return to the world’s most grueling endurance race after a 16 year absence. Things never go as planned at Le Mans, but there’s no question Porsche will learn from its mistakes and come back next year even stronger. After all, it has quite a legacy at La Sarthe. And with a talented team of drivers, mechanics and engineers, Porsche has the ability to put pressure on Audi and Toyota in the years ahead.

For anyone who has any doubts, XCAR has recently put together this fantastic video showcasing the German automaker’s definitive Le Mans history. It may be a bit long at just over 25 minutes, but it’s very much worth your time.
