Porsche might be busy with important work such as testing its new GT3 RS around the Nurburgring or planning future EV projects, but even the most serious of sports car manufacturers know how to have a little bit of fun every now and then. Porsche is well known for its love of off-road racing and sports a long legacy of Safari vehicles. The company is currently working on the 911 Dakar that gives a nod to the classic rally Porsches of old but has taken time out to pursue an outdoor adventure of a different kind, offering roof tent experiences through some of Germany's most picturesque regions. Yes, rooftop glamping, and not on top of a Cayenne, but on a Taycan.

Porsche Experience prides itself in offering Porsche owners and fans some of the most memorable experiences in the automotive world and is now offering two of the coolest travel experiences we've come across in a long time, and the coolest part is you get to go camping, in a Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo! Porsche offers customers two options: a trip to the Black Forest, or a jaunt through the German wine route of the Rhenish Hesse. Both trips span three days and have a capacity of eight people. For around $2,700, you and your partner can enjoy wine tasting at some of Germany's most celebrated wine farms, or even zipline in the Hirschgrund area.

The coolest part is the fact that you get to camp in a rooftop tent on a Taycan. This nifty setup includes bedding, camping equipment, and countless opportunities to take hipster-tinged nature pics. The fact that you're driving a $190k electric super station wagon with close to 700 horsepower under your right foot can also be considered a drawcard. This is such an innovative move by Porsche, and we'll be daydreaming of taking a few buddies and perhaps a sprinkling of girlfriends on a trip like this. Just be careful climbing up to your tent after you've had a few too many glasses of that German red wine.
