Porsche has expanded the Cayenne range with a couple of new models that will debut in LA later this month. An entry-level Cayenne has returned to the lineup with a 3.6-liter V6, while a new GTS arrives with a twin-turbocharged variant of the same powerplant looking like the more expensive Turbo. Delivering 440 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque, the Cayenne GTS slots in above the 'S' with a 5.2-second 0-62 mph time (5.1 with Sport Chrono) and a 163-mph top speed.

"A meaty GTS sound" is emitted by the sports exhaust system, which is complemented by aggressive styling and a Sport Design package including the Turbo's front air intakes and lights, a 20-24 mm lowered suspension, 20-inch RS Spyder alloys, bigger brakes and darker taillights. Inside, there's leather/Alcantara sports seats and GTS-embossed headrests. The base Cayenne generates 300 hp, with the natural-aspirated V6 mated exclusively to a new eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission. 0-62 mph happens in 7.7 seconds en route to a 143-mph top speed. Pricing starts at $59,295 for the stock Cayenne and $96,495 for the GTS. The new models will hit US showrooms in February 2015.
