If your love for all things car-related spills into your home, you will have undoubtedly amassed a collection of motoring-related knick-knacks and accessories. If you've got a penchant for Porsche, the company's latest toy is a must-have. This 911 Soundbar 2.0 has been created with the original exhaust system of a 911 GT3 and will add some flair to your lounge or TV room - much to your partner's chagrin.

Porsche Design says the unique piece is limited to just 500 units, which explains the astonishing price tag of $12,000. So, what do you get in return for that significant chunk of change?

Well, quite a bit actually. The 2.1.2 Virtual Surround Sound System has 300 watts of power and features Bluetooth 5.0, Apple AirPlay 2 streaming, and built-in Google Chromecast. There are 4K-compatible HDMI ports too, as well as Dolby Atmos DTS-HD.

Those who collect these Porsche Design pieces will be pleased to know the 911 Soundbar 2.0 can connect with the 911 Soundbar Special Edition and the 911 Soundbar Final Edition. What's more, it will be compatible with future Porsche products too. A nifty base enables you to proudly display the exhaust system on a table or, if you prefer, it can be mounted on a wall too.

If you're hoping to get your hands on one of the limited pieces, pre-orders are open on the website. However, don't expect it to arrive before year-end, as the company says deliveries will only commence from January 1, 2023. But if you've got money to burn and a desire to own all things Porsche, the design subsidiary offers everything from high-end timepieces to clothing and even electronics.

Several automakers have jumped on the branded apparel bandwagon, but none offer a line of products quite as diverse as the Stuttgart-based sportscar maker. Through the Tequipment subsidiary, buyers can select from brilliant accessories like a rooftop tent for unlikely candidates such as the 911, Taycan, and Panamera.
