Yes, it still has a Hemi.
Because Dodge updated the styling of its 2015 Charger sedan, that means its cop car sibling will also benefit from those changes. The 2015 Dodge Charger Pursuit has just been revealed and it features the same new front-end styling as the civilian version. It also benefits from a more driver-focused cockpit. New equipment for America's finest includes an updated digital instrument cluster, a three-spoke steering wheel, and an infotainment system featuring a five-inch display screen.
Like most other cop cars, there's a column-mounted shifter and uniquely designed front seats that better accommodate belt gear. Dodge also claims the interior materials are world-class. Under the hood, police departments will have the same engine choices as everyone else: either a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with 292 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, or a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 with 370 hp and 390 lb-ft. The latter will deliver a 0-60 mph time less than six seconds and return 26 mpg highway. Other mechanical upgrades include larger front and rear brakes and additional front suspension bushing durability.
