The idea of a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren roadster getting ticketed by a Smart car is pretty funny in-and-of-itself. The $500,000-plus supercar is owned by the self-proclaimed "Prince of Germany" and was apparently parked illegally in a loading zone. The footage seen in the video on the next page was shot in Beverly Hills, California. The Mercedes SLR McLaren roadster is, for whatever reason, sporting several decals such as Hugo Boss and Vodafone.

The irony of the situation is that the Merc utilizes a supercharged 617hp V8 AMG engine to run from 0-62mph in 3.8 seconds and reach a speed of 208mph. In comparison, the Smart ForTwo Coupe features a 1.0-liter inline 3-cylinder to slowly crawl from 0-60mph in 12.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 90mph.

The uncomfortable situation on the street was caught by videographer Drake Mumford and shows that no matter how fast your car is, you still can't evade the long arm of the Californian-Smart car-law.
