The golden rule of supercar ownership is that once you own one, you leave it the hell alone. Ferrari even prohibits people from modifying their cars in an unfitting fashion after ownership lest they lose out on special edition models further down the line. But that hasn't stopped rich folks and celebrities. Even sought-after cars such as McLarens and up are being modified with garish body kits and engine upgrade kits. Personal taste does come into it, but Prior Design's latest effort - the vivid lime green McLaren 720S before your eyes - is a stylish take on the British supercar, despite not being as wild as some of the tuner's previous efforts.

Prior Design has tackled some rather premium cars in the past, and our favorites include its take on the Audi R8, but this McLaren takes things to a whole new level.

Prior Design calls this the PD720R Aerodynamic Kit, completely transforming the McLaren 720S from top to bottom. Prior starts at the front, where it fits a front lip spoiler that features a slotted intake. We're not sure if that channels air anywhere, but it looks the part, and that's all that really matters. The fitment looks pretty impressive, too, and according to Prior Design, the kit needs absolutely no additional cutting or work to fit.

Moving up the car's shapely exterior, we come to the front fenders. The items on the stock car are already rather aggressive, but the Prior Design units look like they belong on a GT-level race car and feature deep, integrated vents. The custom hood is also deeply sculpted and much more aggressive than the stock unit.

The shapely side profile of this magnificent supercar is enhanced with a set of extra wide side sills that aren't too in-your-face.

Next up is the new rear diffuser. This part accentuates the already aggressive rear end of the 720S with a set of massive rear fins, and to top it all off, Prior Design slaps a gigantic rear wing on top of it all to create one of the most badass-looking rear ends in the supercar world. Impressively, the wing even retains the stock car's natural curves, so it doesn't look too out of place.

The purists will no doubt complain that this kit hasn't been adequately tested for its aerodynamic properties and will most likely negatively affect the McLaren 720S's overall performance, but let's be honest here: with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that produces a ridiculous 710 horsepower and 568 lb-ft of torque, you're barely going to notice a difference, and that 0-60 mph time of only 2.8 seconds is bound to stay the same.

As for how much it'll cost, the kit is pretty pricey. US figures haven't been provided, but the firm's piece-by-piece breakdown converts into some pretty tough reading. That front lip spoiler? Around $2,990. Those sick fenders, including vents? $3,290 - the same as the rear wing. The rear diffuser is $3,490, and the hood is $4,990. The side sills, meanwhile, are "price on request." We suppose if you have to ask, you couldn't really afford it anyway...

Oh, and if you're thinking it's all carbon fiber, it's not. It's fiberglass.
