Pristine 1967 Corvette Found in a Garage

Auction

Discovered by lucky inheritors that lived next door and didn't know it existed.

Imagine being left a house by your deceased next-doorneighbor, only to go into the garage and discover a 1968 427 390 horsepower1968 Chevrolet Corvette, its V8 engine used only to drive 2,996 miles. That’swhat happened to neighbors of Don McNamara from Colorado Springs, who diedin 2011 and left the estate to them. McNamara had bought the car newwith money he'd won on a trip to Vegas after his retirement from the US Marines.

Apparently, McNamara had told people he’d sold the car, butwas actually driving it secretly at night up until the 1980s to avoid paying title and licensingfees. Equipped with a 4-speed manual transmission, the 1967 Corvette comes withthe original window sticker and documentation, and will be up for auction atHouston’s Mecum Auctions in April.
