PSA Peugeot-Citroen have just released the first official photos of their newest city car, the three-wheel Velva. Designed for the tight quarters of city travel, the compact car has finally made its debut at the Forum de l'ADEME in France. The new EV city car uses the zero-emission technology featured on the Peugeot EX1 racecar (of previous Nurburgring lap-record-for-an-EV fame) and the BB1 concept. So far, the Velva hasn't been badged with either PSA brand and it was produced in conjunction with Valeo and Michelin.

In addition to being purely electric, the car was built to emphasis lightweight material. Weighing in at a slim 1,433lbs, it can pull a 62-mile range from its lithium-ion batteries. It features a 27hp electric engine which can hit a top speed of 68mph. An added bonus for the 3-seater is its incredibly tight turning radius of 7.2 meters (23.5ft).
