Rally Car Drives Slowly, Brings Down a Building

The driver took his time getting to the brick wall, but when he did…

Youtube video titles can be misleading. Dubbed the “Big Rally Crash Car Into Building,” you’d be forgiven for thinking the content of this video shot at the Six Hours of Kortrijk rally race in Belgium shows a massive collision involving a modified rally car travelling at breakneck speed. In fact, the only thing that is “big” about this rally crash is the impact it has on a building. The run up to the incident is labored at best and downright comical at worst.

Doing the damage is a beaten up old Opel Ascona that couldn’t have been travelling at more than 50 mph before bringing down a building built with an absurd number of bricks. No-one was injured in this hugely avoidable accident.
