Ram Trucks knows when they've got a winning formula, and after the 1500 Tradesman was such a hit at the Chicago Auto Show, they've made a couple of very wise decisions. The first is the announcement that the Tradesman will now be released earlier than originally planned, although they still haven't said when exactly this will be. The second part of the plan is to bring out another low-cost pickup, this one tentatively named the Adventurer.
Starting at $23,830 (about $1,000 more than the Tradesman), the Adventurer will be fairly similar to the Tradesman, but will offer a bit more than the purely utilitarian version of the 1500. The Adventurer will get the same 5.7-liter V8, which puts out 390 horsepower and 407lb-ft of torque, so power certainly won't be lacking. Where you'll notice the big difference is in the appearance, with 20-inch aluminum wheels as standard, along with body-colored front and rear fascias and dual exhaust tips.
