The Ram 1500 TRX is going to be an absolute monster, and Ford Raptor owners are surely quietly wondering if they made the right choice. Despite its awesome 702-horsepower engine, people are talking about more than just its performance thanks to a number of small details that make it worth every penny. Ram expects to sell plenty of the TRX and has not put a cap on production numbers. It's expected to be a big money-maker, and customers will be able to customize it heavily. Sure, there will be aftermarket firms offering various upgrades, but Mopar has just announced over 100 accessories for the monstrous machine.
Something that feels like a must on a Ram pickup is the RamBar - for $1,195, it looks the part and is engineered to work with off-road LED lights at a further $595. Ram is also offering a bed-mounted spare-tire carrier for 995 bucks. this is made from thick-gauge steel and has been powder-coated in black for all-weather durability. It can accommodate a wheel or tire up to 37 inches in diameter and is easily removable for when you need full use of the load bed.
But since this is a truck built to go off the beaten path, a number of off-road accessories are available too.
The off-road highlights include special rock rails constructed from aluminum with high-strength steel brackets. These retail at $1,195 and have also been finished with black powder-coating. Heavy-duty running boards are offered at $995, with these made of lightweight cast aluminum and finished in an anti-slip coating. A bed step rated at up to 350 pounds will set you back $395 and is retractable, while bed rails with adjustable tie-downs will cost 250 bucks. A crucial update for any intrepid adventurer are the beadlock-capable wheel rings for off-road tires at $205 and all-weather floor mats for $165. All these accessories will likely be joined by even more parts as the TRX is released, allowing for a customized look with that OEM warranty.
