Fiat Chrysler has become the king of special edition models with cool creations like the Dodge Charger and Challenger Stars & Stripes and the Ram HD Kentuck Derby Edition. FCA isn't slowing down with the special editions which is why the company has just released new options and colors for the 2020 Ram 1500 and 2020 Ram Heavy Duty.

"Buyers demand a good-looking truck with easy-to-use features. They often tell us that their Ram trucks are an extension of their personality and want to stand out from the crowd," said Reid Bigland, Head of Ram Brand. "Whether it's the off-road-enthusiast appeal of the Ram 1500 Rebel, the stylish Night Editions, or greater usability for the most powerful, most capable heavy-duty trucks, Ram trucks deliver features and durability that are winning over more and more buyers."

The 2020 Ram 1500 Night Edition package (pictured above) is available on Big Horn and Laramie models and includes a blacked-out grille, grille surround, badging, exhaust tips, and wheels (20-inch on Big Horn and 22-inch on Laramie), as well as dark bezzles for the headlights and taillights. Ram will also bring back the Rebel Black Appearance Group, which adds Diamond Black Crystal Pearl Coat paint, black 18-inch wheels, a front spoiler, skid plate, badging, tow hooks, and exhaust as well as LED headlights with black bezels and an all-black interior. A Black and Ruby Red interior is optional.

Aside from these new appearance packages, the 2020 Ram 1500 will also offer a New Rebel Safety Group with adaptive cruise control, forward collision mitigation, lane departure warning, and automatic high-beams. A Comfort Package now comes standard on Rebel models with power tailgate release, a wireless charging, rear heated seats, and 12-way power driver's seat. You can also opt for three new colors - Hydro Blue, RV Match Walnut Brown, and Olive Green - the third of which will have late availability.

The Ram Heavy Duty lineup has also been updated for the 2020 model year with a slew of new features. Lane-keep assist with adaptive steering and blind-spot monitoring are now available on all trim levels, trailer tire pressure monitoring is now available as an option on all trim levels, and the auxiliary camera system now supports two different cameras. Ram has also added two new colors - Olive Green and Hydro Blue (pictured above) - and the Ram Power Wagon is now available with black wheels.
