A couple of years ago, Ram launched a new Harvester Edition package for its full-size 1500, 2500, and 3500 trucks designed specifically for farmers in order to celebrate the truck's agricultural roots. Now, Ram has announced the Harvest Edition is being added to its Chassis Cab work trucks.

Available for the Ram 3500, 4500, and 5500 Chassis Cab lineup, the Harvest Edition is visually distinguished by two limited availability colors: Case IH Red and New Holland Blue. Brilliant Black and Bright White are also available, but John Deere green is nowhere to be found. Chrome highlights on the grille, side-steps, door handles and mirrors give the truck a premium appearance along with polished aluminum wheels.

"Addressing a direct request from farmers, Ram is the only manufacturer to offer Chassis Cab commercial trucks in colors that match two of the most popular lines of farm equipment in the nation," said Jim Morrison, Head of Ram Brand at FCA North America. "The Ram Harvest Edition Chassis Cab delivers high capability and gives farming families a way to show their agricultural brand loyalty."

Four-door Crew Cab and two-door Regular Cab configurations are available, while optional powertrains include 4x4 versions of the 6.4-liter HEMI V8 or 6.7-liter Cummins Turbo Diesel.

The Harvest Edition Chassis Cab is ready to work thanks to its large front tow hooks, a transfer-case skid plate, side steps, fog lamps and a rear back-up camera. Standard tech includes an 8.4-inch Uconnect 4C touchscreen radio with navigation, 4G Wifi capability, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, and Sirius Weather with up-to-the minute weather maps and forecasts. A large 7-inch reconfigurable cluster allows operators to monitor selected systems such as filter life, engine hours and operating temperatures. Inside, the interior includes an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and steering-wheel audio controls. A power-sliding rear window is also available specifically for the Crew Cab.

Prices start at $43,990 for the Ram 3500 $48,140 for the Ram 4500, and $49,240 for the Ram 5500, excluding the destination charge. The Ram Harvest Edition Chassis Cab will go on sale in Q3 2019.
