Previewed at the Mi-America Trucking Show last month in Louisville, Kentucky, Ram Trucks displayed the ultimate truck to take on cross-country road trips. Complete with a 197.7-inch wheelbase, the Ram Long-Hauler concept has a full-size, eight-food bed that's combined with the four-door MegaCab passenger compartment. Amazingly, the truck can hold up to 162 gallons of diesel fuel with the help of a 60 gallon auxiliary tank in the bed.
Based off the Ram 5500 commercial truck chassis, it also features self-leveling air suspension, a six-speed automatic transmission, dual-rear-wheels, and 19.5-inch 10-lug wheels. It's powered by a 6.7-liter inline-six diesel engine with 350 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. All told, it can tow up to 37,500 pounds. No word yet on cost and whether it will make production.
