With the Geneva show now behind us, it's time to look to the next. That'd be the New York Auto Show opening later this month, where (among other cars) Land Rover will unveil its all-new Range Rover Sport. Why New York, you ask? Well, timing could be one factor, as the preparedness of a particular vehicle will usually dictate when its manufacturer will release it to the public. But, as Land Rover notes, it sells more Range Rover Sports in New York than any other city in the world.

Expected to be based on the same aluminum platform that underpins the full-size Range Rover, the oft-spied Sport previewed in this blurry teaser image looks poised to adopt some styling cues from the Evoque. It will also be lighter, more agile and more economical than the model it replaces. The all-new Range Rover Sport takes the model to another level," says LR brand director John Edwards. "It is Land Rover's most dynamic vehicle yet and showcases the best of British design, engineering and technological innovation."
