Range Rover Sport R-S Gets Closer to Production

Spy Shots

Latest spy shots of potent RR Sport indicate high-performance SUV should be with us soon.

A few months after spying what appeared to be a high-performance variant of the Range Rover Sport, another similarly potent prototype has now been spied testing at the Nurburgring. Wearing slightly less camo, a few more tell-tale signs that this is something worthy of an “RS” badge include quad tailpipes with space for a diffuser, massive air intakes on the front bumper, air outlets on the hood, a more aggressive body kit and Brembo brakes with red calipers.

Recent reports suggest that under the hood will be a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 with at least 542 hp and the necessary torque to get the Range Rover Sport RS from 0-62 mph in 4.5 seconds. An Evoque RS is also in the works, which could well make an appearance before year end.
