The most powerful Land Rover ever will be unveiled at Goodwood FOS this weekend.
Ahead of its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Range Rover has lifted the lid on its fastest Range Rover ever built. Dubbed the RR Sport SVR, the prototype previews a production model slated for 2015. The "fastest, most agile, most responsive and most powerful" Range Rover ever produced will also be the first to wear the SVR moniker, which will be used for all future hi-po models to come out of JLR's new Special Operations division.
Specific details have yet to be revealed but Land Rover has confirmed the model will come with 542 hp, which is exactly what the Jaguar XKR-S and XJR generate from their 5.0-liter supercharged V8. So expect that to be under the hood of the Sport SVR. Aggressive styling is also expected, with a new front fascia sporting larger air intakes, a rear bumper with integrated diffuser flanked by a quad exhaust system, in addition to massive alloys and huge brakes.
