Raptor Flies 180 Feet Over Sand Dune

Truck

Three seconds of sweet air almost certainly to be followed by months of painful repair work.

A truckgetting sweet air at the Silver Lake sand dunes is nothing new. The peoplethat come here arrive with heavily modified machinery for that exact reason.Yet it’s not every day you see a truck flying a good 180 feet. Mike Higginsmade that distance in his Ford Raptor (which actually looks more like a custom Baja truck the F-150 Raptor emulates) after screaming up Test Hill andlaunching at high speed. He got big air and covered plenty of ground but his trophy truckpivoted almost vertically before landing on the rear frame.

The result is a truck bent in half and a totally destroyed front suspension. Thankfully no harm was done to the driver and the spectators were treated to a sight they’ll never forget.
