After production of the iconic 356 Speedster ended in 1958, it took Porsche more than three decades to offer a Speedster variant of the 911 with the 1989 964-gen model the first recipient of the classic styling. By 1994, the 911 Speedster was offered in lightweight 'clubsport' trim, and of the 3000 examples slated for production, just 936 were built. 427 of these ended up stateside, an immaculate example of which is currently up for sale on eBay.

Featuring a desirable triple black color scheme, the 911 Speedster has just 43,663 miles on the clock, and comes with Recaro sports seats, $11,000 worth of recent repairs, and an upgraded Alpine audio system. Mechanically identical to the Carrera 2, the Speedster is distinguished by a short, raked windshield, Spartan two-seater interior and twin rear humps. A "temporary" fabric top was also supplied to be used when left in the rain. Current bidding on the 90's classic is up to $111,300, with the seller's reserve yet to be met.
