Swedish automaker Koenigsegg makes some of the most extreme track toys in the world, but if you want one, prepare to be patient because the waiting lists for its hypercars are agonizingly long. On average, customers have to wait between four and five years to receive delivery of their brand new Koenigsegg. The automaker is trying to speed up production to avoid deterring potential customers and be overtaken by the competition. Alternatively, if you can't wait that long, this used Agera R is up for sale.

If this particular Agera R looks familiar, that's because it appears to be the same car that was revealed at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show wearing a special Speed Racer-themed livery. Listed for sale by JamesEdition, the 2012 model Agera R is currently being sold at Seaside Cars AG in Zurich, Switzerland, with only 1,864 miles on the clock. The R was the second iteration of the Agera launched before the more hardcore S, RS and One:1 models, packing a 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 producing 1,140 hp, resulting in a 0-62 mph sprint time of 2.9 seconds and a theoretical top speed of 273 mph. Later examples were upgraded to 1,157 hp which reduced the sprint time down to 2.8 seconds, but it isn't clear if this is one of them.

Only 18 examples of the Agera R were made during its production run between 2011 and 2014, but that makes it one of the more common cars in the automaker's line-up since Koenigsegg only produces between 16 and 20 cars every year including the current Agera RS. However, Koenigsegg is aiming to increase its production rate up to 25 cars this year and at least 30 by the end of next year. If you can't wait four to five years for Koenigsegg to build you a car, then this used example of the Agera R can be yours for 1.8 million Swiss francs, which equates to around $1.87 million. That's quite a price jump considering the car originally cost $1.6 million when it was new.
