The career of the Chevrolet Corvette spans over six decades, and in that time, a multitude of versions have seen the light of day, including some very special limited editions. While we appreciate the standard C8, our hearts belong to the limited editions and rarities. We've covered some extremely exclusive Corvettes in the past, but few are as odd as this 1975 Chevrolet Corvette L-82 Z07 that's currently listed for sale on eBay. The L-82 is a rare breed, with only 2,300 of these cars ever built, but this one, in particular, is hiding a tasty little secret.

What makes this Corvette so special is the fact that it is actually an even more obscure L-92 Z07 which means it came from the factory with an 'off-road package'. This package included upgraded front brakes, thicker sway bars, and upgraded shocks and springs. Only 144 of these cars ever left the factory floor, and over the years, many of them have been lost, making this quite the find. The seller claims that this example has been pulled out of storage after 35 years in hibernation, and judging by the pictures, this little Vette doesn't look too bad at all.

Unfortunately, all that standing means the original L-82 motor doesn't run, but can be resuscitated with some effort. The exterior definitely needs some work, and it's clear that the front and rear bumpers have taken some damage. At least the car has never been painted, and comes with its original red paint job. The good news is that the interior looks in decent shape. This example comes with all the original factory paperwork, and has been listed at a fixed price of $10,000. We think there are a few Corvette fanatics who'll easily pay that price for such a rare example. The sale closes in 20 days, so make your move.
