Ratted-Out 1,200-HP 1964 Pontiac Le Mans Drag Car is the Ultimate Sleeper

She's clocked 185 mph.

The thing we like about the ratted look on older cars is that, when it’s done right, it makes for some excellent sleepers. This one in particular also has the advantage of being a Pontiac Le Mans, not the sort of car that you usually expect to see going 185 mph. But that’s what this car is capable of, thanks to the 1,200 horsepower being produced by a massive centrifugal supercharger, which required some modifications to the body in order to fit.

Perhaps best of all, the owner hasn’t taken the easy way out and dropped in a modern LS engine; this is still using Pontiac power.
