We've called the Ford Focus RS mental and, most recently, even questioned its value when compared to Ford's own Mustang V8 and the Subaru WRX STI. Still though, it's quite the performance package starting at just under $36,000, and it's an all-wheel-drive five-door hatchback to boot. So naturally it's going to attract a crap load of buyers when the order books open. Question is, when will that be? According to Reddit user "3031983," the order books will open on October 12, while the actual order guide itself will be made available October 1st.

RS production won't begin until January in Germany. Getting one will essentially be a first come, first served type of thing. Even Ford dealerships will be subject to allotment going by a market-based formula that factors in .2013-2015 model year ST sales for both the Focus and Fiesta. Hopefully your local Ford dealer kicked Focus/Fiesta ST sales ass otherwise no RS. But mark the calendar for anyone who's interested in getting one when the first shipments arrive this spring. We guarantee you'll have plenty of competition. Best of luck.
