Rebadged Lotus Europe Becomes Lekir Sports Concept

Concepts

Another less-known auto show is the 2010 Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show in Malaysia. At this auto event, taking the center stage at Proton's booth, alongside the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO-esque Jebat study, is a new concept creation. This concept model is based on another manufacturer's vehicle, the Lekir. However, this concept is different. Proton used its own car bin and decided on the Lotus is acquired back in 1994.

Interestingly, the Lekir is essentially a rebadged Europa coup, so it's not the first time that a Europa wearing different logos will be displayed. The Lekir is powered either by a 2.0-liter turbocharged unit or a 1.6-liter engine that's capable of achieving 220 horsepower.
