It's clear now that Chrysler is planning on "refreshing" many models with their all-new Pentastar engine. This is exactly what the 2011 Dodge Avenger has received, as well as a new interior, better powertrain choices, and a more aggressive suspension. Minor adjustments have been made to the exterior features, but notable is a revised lower front fascia and the addition of LED tail lamps out in back. The refresh is considerably milder than what we see on the Chrysler 200 twin.

Inside, you'll instantly notice the difference between the new and old cabins in terms of overall quality. The vehicle is powered by a recalibrated version of its 2.4-liter inline-four, mated to a new six-speed automatic transmission. The new Pentastar V6, as mentioned above, will also be available. One of the finer refreshments is the reworked suspension geometry. A series of redesigns now provide a more precise feeling and better level of engagement. No word on pricing yet, but we can expect to learn more closer to the 2011 arrival date.
