Remember The Time A Blind Porsche Won LeMans?

All it took was a broken windshield and hood to create a legend.

A clip from the 2000 LeMans has recently resurfaced, and it’s one of the most incredible 45 seconds in motorsports you’ll ever see. It all started when the driver of the Haberthur Racing Porsche 911 GT3-R stopped in the pit to remove a broken window. Now racing without a window is badass. But as he left the pit road, his hood flopped open, completely blinding him. Of course the driver did what anyone would do and simply continued racing, opening the door to see ahead.

Seriously, someone needs to remix this video with the Benny Hill theme song. That’s how ridiculous it is. Oh, according to the comments the Porsche ended up winning its class.
