Even with the New York Auto Show kicking off this week, eyes are already fixing on further automotive events on the horizon. The Goodwood estate in the UK, for example, just held a press preview for its upcoming Festival of Speed, giving us some tantalizing tidbits to anticipate. Although they weren't at the press event where Jaguar drove its new XFR-S, Renault announced it would bring a pair of new concepts to the main event in July.

Little in the way of details are available at this point, but they're said to be performance-oriented – one electric vehicle and one running a conventional internal-combustion. Whether they'll both be versions of the same design, however, remains to be seen, as is the question of what badge they'll wear, with the Alpine brand gearing up. What we do know is that they'll be displayed alongside the new Renaultsport Clio, Captur crossover, ZOE electric hatchback and a number of vintage race cars.
