Reviving the 80s moniker with an "advanced hybrid propulsion system."
The Renault Fuego Design Concept project by Idecore design studio has been in the works for quite a while. The name Fuego revives a Renault sports coupe from the 1980s, and it comes with four doors, including two rear suicide openings. The 2+2 coupe is powered by what Idecore calls an “advanced hybrid propulsion system,” which includes a 95 horsepower electric motor and a 1.6-liter turbo-diesel engine, good for 160 hp and a 255 combined horsepower total.
What sets the Idecore project apart is the four operating modes offered by this powertrain formation: Hybrid, Full-electric, Sport and Ice, which all work simultaneously on the suspension, transmission and motors. As for its design, the firm has apparently independently developed the look, though we really can’t help but see the BMW i8 in every element of its design.
