The Renault Fluence has only been on the road since 2009, but the French automaker apparently thinks it's time to give its sedan a refresh. These spy shots show Renault working on a facelift for the compact sedan to keep it in line with its new family identity. The camouflaged front end on this prototype suggests this is where the biggest changes to the car will be made in the form of a new front end with a larger badge in the grille and a redesigned front bumper.

New headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights are also expected to be adopted, while minor tweaks to the rear appear to be limited to the rear lights. Expect the facelifted Fluence to be unveiled by the end of the year. Our money is on the Paris Motor Show in September, where it could debut alongside the new fourth-generation Clio.
